East Grinstead Sport Club (The Charity ) is a not for profit charity established to provide sporting facilities for the community of East Grinstead and the surrounding area. The Charity owns a multi sport, fitness and social facility, which is the home to over twenty sports clubs and organisations, and is used by locals and visitors of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

The complex is let to Freedom Leisure who provides the services to the community with the Charity retaining responsibility for developing new facilities at the site and replacing existing facilities.

This website aims to provide a link to the different sports clubs, organisations and sponsors' websites, to illustrate the facilities available and to support the challenging charitable fund raising to sustain our unique sports complex.

Try racketball - Thursday morning roll ups starting 6 June at 9.20 am.

Racketball is played on a squash court but with a bigger bouncier ball, it is easy to play and a great game for people who have never played racket sports before, or for keen tennis and squash players as an additional challenge. All levels of players are welcome.
If you have never tried it, and want to try the game in a friendly non-competitive environment, then join us. You will not need a racket or ball if you don't have them, we will be able to loan them to you. Also on offer will be guidance about how the game works and basic coaching advice as you try to improve.

Volunteering opportunities to help several charities using EGSC

Would you like to support local charities? There are some opportunities for you to help local and national charities raise funds coming up at EGSC.

We have a great resource in our facilities and our footfall, and as a community, we can help a variety of charities achieve their objectives. If you would like to join a group of interested volunteers and / or champion a fund raising event for a particular charity that you support, email jeff.morris@egsc.org.uk to register your interest. EGSC is currently in discussion with Homestart CHAMS, the charity that supports local families with children under five to pilot this approach.

Janet Johnson, CD Phoenix Netball Club Wins the Sussex Volunteer of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Janet for winning the Sussex Sports Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedication and infectious enthusiasm and going the extra mile for netball at the club. She received the award at the Sussex Sports Awards dinner in Brighton on the 25 November. Watch out for her in the local media during the next week. Well done Janet, sport will not happen without volunteers like you.
